Public PolicyTraining

Parmesh Chand, Permanent Secretary for PSC in his opening remarks this morning said the workshop has been organized to further enhance skills in Public Policy.

He said the training curriculum was organized for the benefit of targeted civil servants at leadership level and who are mainly responsible for conducting public policy analysis and advice.

“The main aim of this training is to refresh and to strengthen the skills and behaviors’ of policy analysts in order to adopt a systematic and flexible approach towards policy analysis and advice,” PS Chand said.

PS Chand thanked PICPA for their support and told the participants that they will be expected to apply public policy analysis models in their respective line of work.

“You will also be required to work, produce sound policy analysis reports and submission and prepare policy briefs and communicate public policy.

“There is investment involved in part of Government in running this course. Like with any investment, we would like to see positive impact and results from your participation in this workshop,” he added.
